Sales & Marketing

Sales & Marketing Team Leader

Daii Watkins

Conduit between teams at Pia – I’ve seen us, and myself, through many changes. Once upon a time I held Pia’s bank card, a brief and glorious time that won’t be repeated, we needed that pool table.

I put my enquiring mind, in-depth product knowledge, and innovative thinking to use - managing my team, customer relationships, and (the most unruly of all) my time, keeping work flowing through Pia.

A fly on the wall would note my keen interest in the truth of things; matters such as interplanetary travel, non-human intelligent lifeforms, and far-reaching societal issues and corruption through the lens of (entirely plausible) conspiracy theories. With that said, my staff appreciate my sense of humour, it isn’t all serious debates about the future of humanity.

Sales and Marketing Subject Matter Expert

Carli Priest

Joining Pia in 2023 has significantly deepened my understanding of the barriers created by inequity and opportunities to dismantle them. Playing my part in this is both rewarding and meaningful, whilst having the freedom to express my creative side through content creation and marketing.

In all areas of life I love to learn, to strive for better and to break barriers. Always ready to engage in discussion exploring thoughts, beliefs, and truths with an open and enquiring mind. My interests include ancient traditions. I am distinctly disinterested in convention and conformity. Through exploring nature I’m often bringing home a 'good rock', stick, or occasional bone, putting them to good use through my hobbies which include wood carving, foraging, macramé, and concocting home remedies.

Sales & Marketing Representative

Keeley Jones

I joined Pia on the 14th of Feb 2022 as an apprentice for the Sales & Marketing team, I have since competed my level 2 & 3 in business administration. In my spare time I am usually thinking about a holiday, on holiday or booking a holiday, I love a good shop and a good book, just your typical girly wirly.
Sales & Marketing Representative

Arron Price

I joined PIA in 2023 seeking a fresh challenge and the opportunity to broaden my professional horizons. My experience across multiple industries has equipped me with a wide skill set and a dynamic approach to sales and marketing.

Outside of work, I’m a passionate car enthusiast. I regularly attend car shows and proudly serve as both a member and admin of a local car club. When I’m not immersed in the automotive world, I enjoy a game of snooker and taking the dogs for countryside walks.

Sales & Marketing Representative

Kezia Gray

Hi I’m Kezia! I started working at Pia in 2022 as an apprentice and I’m now fully employed as a Sales & Marketing Representative. I didn’t have a clue what braille was when I first started but I’d like to think I’m fairly clued up on it now, haha! Outside of work, I loan a horse and look after other horses as well as ride and I go to the gym 4 times a week, I love to keep active.
Sales & Marketing Representative

Jamie Kent

I joined the Pia family in April 2024. I understand the significance of our role as it helps empower visually impaired people. I don’t like to advertise this fact, but I’d do the job for free. In work I’m always chasing the next win. Outside of work I’m always chasing my children, quick-footed wingers, or my mischievous Samoyed.
Administrative Assistant

Angharad Davies

Angharad - With 14 years of experience in the NHS, I built a strong foundation in care, communication, and resilience. After leaving the NHS, I transitioned into Administration in the private sector, where I honed my organisational and project management skills. I now work as an Administrative Assistant in the Sales and Marketing team at PIA, supporting dynamic campaigns and client engagement. My diverse background allows me to adapt quickly, support teams effectively, and bring a people-first approach to every role I take on. My personal life revolves around my 23 year old Son and my Papillon Ted. I can be quite quirky and like to join in the office banter.
Sales & Marketing Mascot

Ted

Pawprint

Ted is our resident Papillon and honorary team mascot. At 15 years old, he’s earned his title as the office elder and nap enthusiast. Rescued from a difficult start in a hoarder’s home and lovingly adopted through the RSPCA, Ted now lives his best life—mostly horizontal, occasionally opinionated, and always adorable. He’s manipulative (in the most charming way), stubborn as they come, and has a sense of humour that keeps us all on our toes. Whether he’s snoozing in the sun or silently judging our snack choices, Ted brings heart, history, and a whole lot of personality to the team.

Senior Management Team

Managing Director

Sharon Williams

I arrived in Pia as general dogsbody in 1999, and now that I'm MD, nothing has changed! I got to where I am by interfering, asking questions, wanting improvements and generally getting on everyone's nerves. I spend my days marketing, being strategic, getting creative and learning! My colleagues often wonder what I do all day, so hopefully they'll read this and find out.
Company Secretary

Debra Budd

I’ve been at Pia since 1996 and what a whirlwind ride it’s been. Many things have changed since I first joined, but because I look after the finances, some of my role is still the same as it was back then. As a senior member of the team, and the owner of a (very small) boat, I’m really proud to have helped steer Pia through its share of choppy waters to get to where we are. But, with an ever increasing crew and cargo at Pia, we’re always riding high on a wave!
Head of Operations

Danni Baker

Having joined Pia as Head of Operations from a completely different background, I had to hit the ground running. Bit of a shock to the system to someone who’s preferred version of exercising is a good gardening session! The ethos at Pia, where team wellbeing is so important, fits really well with my values so I’ve enjoyed every (challenging) minute. I spend my days working with my team of team leaders to make sure we’re as efficient as our customers need us to be and as accurate as the end users deserve. If you ever need to talk about how great our service is, get in touch.
Head of International Relations

Osian

Pawprint

I arrived in Wales from Romania in 2020 having been headhunted for a number of opportunities in your country. Once I had chosen Pia, I adapted my full Romanian title of Count Oshy Poshy Poo Poo to the Welsh Osian to better assimilate with the local community. My role in Pia is to loudly welcome all new visitors and let all my colleagues know of their arrival. I also insist on regular updates from my colleagues on head ruffles and back scratches. My intention is to stay in Wales for the immediate future but I will consider leaving if the level of food rationing does not improve.
CTO - Chief Treats Officer

Dilys

Pawprint

I joined Pia on 7 January 2019 having been headhunted from Newport Dogs Home. I’d received a couple of offers but Pia was definitely the best place for a rewards-driven canine like myself. My role requires me to spend a lot of time in strategic thought, which looks a lot like sleeping. My colleagues have no idea how hard my job is! As you can imagine for such a senior role, there is also a fair bit of motivational tail-wagging as I patrol the premises. The most important part of my role is to manage Pia’s MD - not an easy task but I manage it with a clever little roll-over to show my soft, scratchable belly. I look forward to meeting you next time you pop in to see us at Pia.

Team Leaders

Transcription Team Leader

Katie Johnson

I joined Pia in 2018 as a Large Print transcriber and became a Transcription Team Leader in 2024. My days in the office are usually spent allocating various different large print workstreams to my transcription team, whilst fitting in many cups of tea! Outside of work, you’ll usually find me building in Minecraft or trying to get a cute photo of my cats, who never sit still!
Transcription Team Leader

Nathaniel Pyke

I started working for Pia in 2018 as a temporary employee to assist with some seasonal work. Since then I’ve worked my way up to becoming the Team Leader of the Audio Department. I enjoy the fast pace, variety of work and supporting my colleagues in delivering high quality Audio Accessible Formats for our customers. Pia has grown immensely in the 7 years I’ve been here (from approx. 25 to now over 60 colleagues), I look forward to continuing to grow alongside Pia and giving our customers the highest quality service!
Transcription Team Leader

Liam Macdonald

I joined PIA in 2022 as a temporary Acorn placement, became a permanent member of the team in 2023, and was proud to step into the role of Transcription Team Leader last year. I really enjoy the work we do here and take pride in being part of PIA's ongoing growth and success.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me birdwatching, gardening, playing on my PC, or trying to avoid any kind of housework.
Transcription Team Leader

Dylan Hurter

I started at Pia just over two years ago as a transcriber and after 6 months was promoted to Team Leader of the braille team and have loved every second of it. Being part of Pia has allowed me to be fortunate enough to work with some amazing people on some really cool projects. Day to day, I ensure that any braille work that comes through the company is completed to the highest of standards so that the end user is empowered and gets the independence that they need.
Outside of work I have always loved sports ranging from living in Austria for a bit as a skiing and snowboarding instructor to representing Wales in Trampolining and will always be happy to talk about motorsports, particularly Formula One.
Transcription Team Leader

Dave Whaley

I first joined PIA in January of 2023 as a temp and after 6 months was made a fully fledged member of the team. I’ve put the hours in and was able to climb the ladder and now manage my own team! Outside of work I spend most of my time chasing after 2 very young kids who are constantly trying to hurt themselves. You could say that working for PIA is the closest thing I get to rest!
Production Team Leader

Lauren Evans

I joined Pia in 2007 as part of the Production Team producing and dispatching the work. I am now the team leader of production working with an amazing team. I am a mum to 3 beautiful children, and I’m known to enjoy a vacation or two!!

Finance & Human Resources

Finance & HR Co-ordinator

Sara Geake

Pia has been in my life for a couple of decades now. I worked as a temporary producer and admin during my university years and then from time to time when my children were small. I was then asked to join the Sales & Marketing Team in 2018. I have now moved across to being the Finance & HR Co-ordinator. You will often find me in the midst of sending invoices to our customers, keeping our suppliers happy by paying them. And more importantly I assist with the payroll, so keep everyone else happy!! Outside of work I spend my time chasing around after my 3 daughters, one of whom is a competitive gymnast and heading for BIG things. I also enjoy knitting when I can find 5 minutes of peace.
