What is BSL?

British Sign Language (BSL) is a fully developed language in its own right, with its own grammar, structure, and cultural significance. It is the first or preferred language for many Deaf people and is also used by others with hearing loss.

BSL communicates meaning through a combination of hand shapes, movements, facial expressions, and body language, making it a uniquely visual and expressive form of communication.
