Braille Business Cards

Your business card is a vital marketing tool. It tells potential customers the most important thing they need to know about your organisation and how to make contact. Having a stylish, accessible business card demonstrates an awareness of people's individual needs and the ability to respond to them.

Pia makes your business cards accessible in a number of ways to suit a variety of requirements, and pockets!

Your Braille Business Card Options

Although it is possible to put braille on standard business cards, it’s not considered good practice to emboss braille over what is often already small print as this effects the legibility of the print for everyone else.

The solutions we offer are:

  • A transparent plastic, self-adhesive label with braille text which can be put on the reverse of your existing standard business card. These are supplied 14 per A4 sheet.
  • A folded business card with space for both print and braille.
  • A template for creating cards that allow two lines of braille to be embossed in the middle of the card without interfering with the print.

To request a quote just tell us your preferred format, the quantity required, plus the text you want included. And if you don't know which option you'd prefer, ask us to quote for all three formats.

Braille Text Limits

Embossed Braille is around four times larger than standard text (Arial 12pt). This usually means that the braille text is limited to:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Phone Number, Website or Email

On a standard business card, and on our business card labels, we can fit 13 braille characters per line and 4 lines of braille. If an email address or website link is too large, we can wrap onto 2-3 lines if needed, but you may need to identify the key parts of the information you'd like to have in braille.
